What FieldSync collects, and why
FieldSync exists to keep one honest, shared record between two people who trust each other. We collect only what that takes — nothing is sold, nothing is shared for advertising, and there are no third-party analytics.
Data we collect
- Account: your email address and display name (used to sign you in and show who wrote what).
- Device: a device identifier and, if you allow notifications, a push token (used for sync and to deliver reminders).
- Project records: the tasks, messages, photos, voice notes, and money notes you and your invited helper capture. This is your content; it is visible only to the people on the project.
How it is used
For app functionality only: signing you in, syncing the record between the phones on a project, and sending the notifications you would expect (new messages, task decisions, deadline reminders).
Who processes it
- AWS — hosting and encrypted storage
- Expo — push notification delivery
- Amazon Web Services (Cognito and SES) — sign-in and verification code emails only
The append-only record
FieldSync records cannot be edited or deleted — by design, by anyone. Corrections are added next to the original. This is the product's core promise: the record protects the person doing the work as much as the person paying for it.
Deletion and contact
To delete your account, contact support and we will remove your account access and push tokens. Project records are append-only by design; deletion removes your access to them. Questions: support (address published with the store listing).
